Lakeview NeuroRehabilitation Center raises money for NH Brain Injury Association Walk by The Sea - Lakview New Hampshire

On Sunday, September 28, amidst the skirl of Scottish bagpipes, Lakeview Administrator Dave Armstrong, led the center’s residents and staff participation in the 28th Annual Walk by the Sea.

It was a beautiful, sunny day for the event, of which 18 residents from the Lakeview Effingham campus, Freedom House, Victorian House and Thompson House successfully completed the walk. The center surpassed all prior fundraising goals by raising $2,707.59 for the Brain Injury Association of NH, which marks the largest sum collected by Lakeview thus far, marking an incredible achievement.

This year, fundraising took place not only on campus but also throughout the community. Participating locations were Boyles’ Family store, Tractor Supply Store, and Family Dollar Store. For many weeks, our residents advocated for themselves and educated not only NH residents about brain injury, but also many visitors to the area. Residents were readily able to use social, cognitive and functional skills during while advocating for themselves, all skills they have learned at Lakeview.
