Lakeview Leadership in Applied Behavior Analysis

Lakeview’s Director of Behavior Services, Dr. Mike Mozzoni, was a featured presented at the recent APBA (Association of Professional Behavior Analysts) Conference in New Orleans 3/27-29/2014. He provided a workshop, paper and a panel on TBI issues. The workshop, ‘Traumatic Brain Injury: Mechanisms, Management and Training’, the paper ‘Physical Aggression, Sexual Disinhibition and Social Skills: Behavior Interventions for Persons with TBI’ and the panel ‘Restraint & Seclusion: Political, Practical and Ethical Considerations’, all reflect Dr. Mozzoni and Lakeview’s focus on best practices in serving individuals with significant neurobehavioral challenges. Dr. Mozzoni was also an invited speaker at the Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts Pediatric Conference on 4/3/2014, addressing ‘Behavioral Supports for Students Following Brain Injury’. Look for Dr. Mozzoni and in Chicago, 5/23-27/2014, at the 40th Annual ABAI (Association for Behavior Analysis International) conference. He will be featured on a panel titled: ‘Professional Development Series: Tired of Autism? A Beginner’s Guide to Working in Brain Injury Rehabilitation’. Also at ABAI will be former Lakeview intern, Cory Milburn, who will be presenting a poster titled: ‘Olfactory Stimulation, Limbic System Activity, and Memory Recall in People with Traumatic Brain Injuries’. Lakeview continues to provide ABA internship and research opportunities in both brain injury rehabilitation and autism/developmental disability, serving both youth and adults in our CARF (Rehabilitation) and Joint Commission (Behavioral Health) accredited settings.
