Dr. Trudel Presenting on TBI and PTSD at International Rehab Conference

Lakeview COO Dr. Tina Trudel will be presenting on Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) at the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico, October 25-27, 2012.  Dr. Trudel, a neuropsychologist by profession, served as Site Director of the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center Charlottesville Rehabilitation Programs from 2005-2010, developing a model community integrated rehabilitation program for military service members with TBI, and obtaining CARF accreditation for this site while under Lakeview’s management.  During this period and subsequently, she has worked both within Lakeview and the larger professional community to foster better understanding of the similarities, differences, diagnosis and treatment of PTSD, TBI and both as co-occurring conditions.  Lakeview continues to lead in serving veterans and civilians with polytrauma, PTSD, TBI and related conditions though our sites across the country, and participates in Tricare, the Assisted Living for Veterans with TBI pilot project funded by the VA, Medicare, Medicaid and many commercial insurance plans.  For further information on this conference, please visit www.rehabpro.org.
