Caroline Feller's Annual Brain Injury Awareness Talk - Lakeview Specialty Hospital & Rehab-Wisconsin

Wednesday February 11, 2015 marked the 9th consecutive year, Ms. Caroline Feller, Director of Community Development presented her annual brain injury awareness talk to high school students at Divine Savior Holy Angels. Each year, Ms. Feller presents to the honors anatomy and physiology classes on the silent epidemic of brain injury reviewing brain injury prevention, prevalence, basic brain anatomy, brain behavioral relationships, and the functional implications after a brain injury occurs. Ms. Feller focus part of her presentation on sports and concussions; reviewing the signs and symptoms of a concussion, the importance of reporting a concussion, and concussion management including return to play guidelines.
